Costa Brava Sailing Competition Winners

The winners of the January Sailing Competition Rob, Jim and Richard had a fiesty sail in a F6 off Palamos yesterday. Hopefully all have been converted and enjoyed their day sail in the sunshine aboard the 48 foot yacht Dogstar.

They answered these questions correctly.

1. What name would you give to the concave curve along the foot of a mainsail? The Roach
2. What sound signal would the Skipper of a sailing yacht make if he was intending to overtake another vessel on her port side? Two long blasts followed by two short.
3. What do the depths on a non-tidal nautical chart refer to? Mean Sea Water Level.

Well done chaps more questions to follow shortly. Yacht Dogstar is available for weekend Skippered Charter on the Costa Brava/Costa Dorada all year. Email or call 0034 972 662 494 for further information.
