BOS Fast Track Courses, RYA Day Skipper Fast Track and RYA Day Skipper Combined Courses start Saturdays and Mondays board the night before. We offer airport transfers from Barcelona International and Barcelona Girona direct to our Yachts in Palamos justv ask for details. Our RYA Courses start every Monday all year. You can board on a Sunday and disembark Friday 1600 for weekly courses but for Fast Track and Combined Course you can start on any day subject to availability. My apologies – a week has gone past and I have not sent you and everyone on the team a very big thank you for the weeks course. I haven’t had such a good time for many a year – Rob, excellent instructor - Mike and Alex – great guys, please wish them both good fortune with their RYA Yachtmasters and of course the indomitable Pip!

RYA Coastal Skipper Practical Courses from Barcelona Costa Brava bases in Spain. Four RYA Coastal Skippers passed their RYA Coastal Practical Courses this week with Barcelona Sailing School (BOS). Giovanni, Gabriele, Graeme and Iain completed the course on Friday. Congratulations to all the students. The RYA Coastal Skipper is an advanced course and requires advanced navigational knowledge. This course is Tidal and the Certificates can be endorsed for commercial use with the addition of a few extra modules. Our RYA Courses start every Monday all year we board on Sundays evenings. RYA Coastal Skipper Successfully completes his BOS RYA Coastal Skipper Combined Theory and Practical Course

Thanks again to you all for a very enjoyable RYA Coastal Skipper course in January. I was just hoping to follow up with you about your friend with the Hallberg-Rassy who was looking for crew for the ARC this year. I’d be very keen to get involved as I will be on my seasonal break from work over this period and would love to get some more sailing in. If he wants to know some details, I’m a 37 year old pilot and keen to get some transatlantic experience. I’m a good cook and, once upon a time, I was a qualified doctor (and I am a first aid instructor at the moment). Although I haven’t practiced medicine for about 11 years, should something go wrong mid Atlantic, I may have a better chance of providing some medical assistance. If he wants to know any more details, feel free to pass on my email and phone number. As of around March, I’ll be based in Mallorca.

All of which subject to residency requirements can lead to the RYA issuing an International Certificate Of Competence. The licences are all Tidal now and qualify you to charter and Skipper yachts worldwide for leisure and with some additional modules commercial us. Completing a variety of RYA Courses from RYA Competent Crew, RYA Day Skipper and 15 week Fast Track Yachtmaster Offshore all had time out to watch the exhilarating sailing in Palamos Bay.
