Costa Brava Sailing/Barcelona Sailing School Well done to this weeks Students

Another week of exciting sailing, some of our students sailed on passage from Palamos to Barcelona and back and spent several days sail training off Port Olympic, Barcelona. A real engine bleed had to be undertaken at sea when the crew experienced fuel problems switching between fuel tanks. A well rehearsed drill ensured the engine was bled whilst the yacht continued to sail at over 8 knots. The only drama was getting the helm to slow the yacht down, a tad uncomfortable down below with your head in the engine compartment. We also had a yacht in the Bay of Rosas with a family on a well earned holiday, and a Skipper onboard to provide that extra degree of local knowledge. Weather outlook for the weekend in the Bay of Rosas and Empuria Brava can be found here. www.passageweather.com and looks interesting. We have a ICC Course in the protected area of Empuria. 1 place left. Please email if you would like to take your International Certificate of Competence.
